GRACE — The Beginning of Peace

There is a quiet moment that comes when we begin to understand grace.

Not just as a word we hear in church.
Not just as something we read in Scripture.

But as something real.
Something personal.
Something that has been carrying us all along.

Grace is the kindness of God meeting us right where we are.

Not because we earned it.
Not because we deserved it.
But because He loves us.

In John 1:16, we read:

“From His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”

Not just one moment of grace.
Not just one act of mercy.

But grace layered over grace,
given again and again.

Grace is the gentle hand that steadies us.

It meets us in:

      - Our mistakes

      - Our fears

      - Our uncertainties

      - Our striving

It reminds us that we don’t have to be perfect.
We don’t have to carry everything alone.
We don’t have to prove our worth.

And when we begin to truly accept that…

Something inside us begins to settle.

Peace doesn’t come from having everything figured out.

It comes from knowing that even when we don’t,
God is still holding us.

Grace says:
You are loved.
You are forgiven.
You are not alone.

And in that knowing, the heart begins to rest.

That is where peace begins.

Reflection

Grace softens the weight we carry.

It quiets the voice that says we’re not enough.
It steadies us in moments of doubt.
It reminds us that God is near, even when life feels uncertain.

And slowly, gently…

Grace leads us into peace.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your grace that meets me where I am.

Not because I have earned it,
but because You love me.

When I feel overwhelmed, remind me that I am held.
When I feel uncertain, remind me that I am guided.
When I feel unworthy, remind me that I am forgiven.

Help me to rest in the truth of Your grace.
Help me to release the need to strive and simply trust.

Let Your grace quiet my heart.
Let it steady my steps.
And let it lead me gently into peace.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
