Heaven's 3rd Layer — Where the Path Divides

“And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.”
— Luke 16:26

──────────────

There are writings that describe what lies beyond the veil—
and here, the question every heart asks begins to take shape:

Where do we go when this life ends?

─────────

In these accounts,
the first thing seen is not darkness…

but beauty.

A garden beyond description.
Alive with light.
A place where everything feels whole—
where the nearness of God is not distant,
but known.

A place called paradise.

──────────────

Scripture gives us a glimpse of this nearness:

“Today you will be with Me in paradise.”
Luke 23:43

Not far away.
Not unreachable.
But prepared…
for those who remain near to Him.

──────────────

But the vision does not end there.

Across from this place of beauty,
there is another.

Not chaotic…
but heavy.

A place marked not by the presence of God,
but by the absence of it.

─────────

Jesus spoke of this in a way that is both clear and sobering:

“Between us and you a great chasm has been set in place…”
Luke 16:26

A divide that cannot be crossed.
Not because God withholds…
but because the choice has already been made.

─────────

And this is where the weight of it settles.

There is a difference
between the two.

Not by accident.
Not by chance.

But shaped
by what was chosen
while life was still being lived.

─────────

This is not a message meant to frighten.

It is a reminder
of something both sobering and beautiful:

What we choose now… matters.

─────────

Because while we are still here—

there is still grace.
Still breath.
Still the quiet invitation
to turn toward Him.

─────────

And that invitation
has not been withdrawn.

─────────

🌿 Prayer

Lord,

You who prepare a place of nearness,
keep my heart turned toward You.

Do not let me drift
into distance without noticing.

While there is still time,
draw me closer.

Let my life be shaped
by Your presence—
not just in what I believe,
but in how I live.

And remind me gently
that Your grace is still reaching,
still calling,
still near.

 Amen.

──────────────

Come walk quietly through the heavens with me.
