In the Stillness

“Be still, and know that I am God.”
— Psalm 46:10

Reflection:

In the stillness of the morning…
Before the world fully wakes…
Before the noise begins to fill the space…

God is already near.

Stillness is not emptiness.
It is a place where our hearts can settle and remember who He is.

In the quiet, we begin to notice what we often miss in the rush.
A sense of calm.
A gentle reminder.
A steady presence that has been there all along.

You don’t have to fill the silence with words.
You don’t have to bring a long prayer or a perfect thought.

Sometimes it is enough just to sit, breathe, and be aware that He is with you.

In the stillness, worries soften.
In the stillness, strength returns.
In the stillness, we remember that God is in control.

And when we rise from that quiet place, we carry a peace that stays with us throughout the day.

Prayer:
Lord, help me find You in the stillness.
Quiet my thoughts and settle my heart in Your presence.
Remind me that I don’t have to rush or strive to be near You — You are already here.
Amen.
