The Road to the Cross - Part 4

He is Risen

Scripture

“Do not be afraid… He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.”

Matthew 28:5-6

Devotion

There was a morning when everything seemed finished.

The cross had spoken.
The silence had settled.
Hope felt buried with the stone.

And yet…

Morning came.

Not with noise.
Not with announcement.
But with light.

The kind of light that does not force itself—
only reveals what has already been done.

The stone was not moved so Jesus could leave.

It was moved
so we could see.

He is not here.

Not because He was taken.
Not because He was lost.

But because death could not hold Him.

THE SHIFT

What was sealed
is now open.

What was final
is now undone.

What felt like the end
was only the place where God began something new.

THE MEANING

Resurrection is not only about that morning.

It is about every place where:

- hope feels gone

- silence feels unanswered

- endings feel certain

And yet God is not finished.

🌿 Prayer

Father,

When I stand in places that feel final,
remind me of this morning.

When I cannot see what You are doing,
teach me to trust what You have already done.

Let resurrection not be something I remember—
but something I live.

Amen.

Walk This Road Again

The road does not end here.

What was seen…
what was felt…
what was understood in quiet moments—

these are not meant to be left behind.

You can return.

To the beginning.
To the moments that spoke to you.
To the places where something stirred.

Because this journey was never only about reaching the end—
but about what was formed along the way.

Come back when you need to remember.
Come back when you need to sit in it again.

The road is still here.

And there is still a place for you.
