Two created beings. Two choices. Two paths.
Reflection
There has always been a contrast in creation.
Michael chose faithfulness.
He stood with God.
He served.
He protected.
Lucifer chose pride.
He turned away.
He sought his own place above God.
Two created beings.
Two very different paths.
And I thought about how that same contrast still echoes in our lives today.
Not in dramatic ways.
But in quiet, daily moments.
We’re always being pulled in one of two directions:
Toward humility… or pride.
Toward trust… or control.
Toward peace… or restlessness.
One path stays close to God.
The other slowly drifts away.
And over time, those quiet choices shape the kind of life we live.
They shape the spirit we carry.
They shape the peace we feel.
When we choose faithfulness, even in small things…
our hearts grow softer, calmer, more grounded.
And slowly, gently…
the life we live shapes the peace we carry.
Prayer
Lord,
Keep my heart close to You.
In the quiet choices of each day,
help me choose humility over pride,
trust over control,
and faithfulness over fear.
Teach me to walk in Your ways,
to listen for Your voice,
and to rest in Your presence.
Shape my heart gently as I follow You.
Let my life reflect Your peace,
and let that peace grow deeper with time.
Guard my steps, steady my spirit,
and remind me that staying near to You
is always the safest place to be.
