Lent Day 31 — He Writes Again
Scripture
“The Lord said to Moses, ‘Cut for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.’"
— Exodus 34:1
Devotion
After the tablets were broken, the story did not end.
God called Moses back up the mountain—not to rebuke and walk away, but to restore what had been lost.
Once again, God wrote His words.
Not because the people had earned it…
but because He is faithful.
Where there had been failure, God responded with mercy.
Where something was broken, He began again.
This moment reminds us that God’s work in our lives is not finished when we fall. He meets us in our brokenness and continues what He started.
🌿 Reflection
Where in your life do you need a fresh beginning?
Have you been holding onto failure instead of receiving God’s mercy?
What would it look like to let Him begin again today?
🌿 Prayer
Lord,
Thank You that You do not give up on me when I fail.
Where things have been broken, begin again.
Write Your truth on my heart and lead me forward in Your grace.
Help me trust that Your faithfulness is greater than my weakness.
Amen.
