Lent Day 20 — The Journey Continues

Scripture

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Galatians 6:9

Devotion

The middle of a journey can be the quietest place.

The beginning carries excitement.
The end brings anticipation.

But the middle is where faith quietly grows.

By now, the rhythm of Lent has likely slowed your steps.
Moments of reflection, prayer, and small choices to draw nearer to God have begun shaping your days.

Yet this is also where discouragement sometimes whispers:
Am I really changing? Is anything happening?

Scripture reminds us that growth often happens unseen.

Just as roots stretch quietly beneath the soil, the work God is doing within us often unfolds beyond what we can measure.

Faith deepens.
Patience grows.
Hearts soften.

The harvest comes later.

Today is simply another faithful step.

Not rushed.
Not forced.

Just continuing the walk with Him.

🌿 Reflection

Halfway through this season of Lent, pause and consider:

Where have you already seen small signs of God working in your life?

And where might He be inviting you to keep going, even when the fruit is not yet visible?

🌿 Prayer

Lord,

Thank You for walking with me through every step of this journey.

When I grow impatient or discouraged, remind me that Your work often unfolds quietly and in ways I cannot yet see.

Give me the strength to keep walking with You, trusting that in Your perfect time, the harvest will come.

Amen.

Walk This Journey Together

If today’s reflection met you where you are, don’t let the quiet end here.

Each morning of Lent, a new step is waiting —
a gentle place to pause, listen, and draw near to God.

Return tomorrow for Day 21. We’ll continue the journey — one faithful step at a time.

There is a place for you here.
