Lent Day 3 — Be Still

A quiet moment to rest in God’s presence during Lent.

Scripture

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

Reflection

Lent does not begin with striving.
It begins with stillness.

After taking the first steps toward God, we often feel the urge to do more — pray longer, fix everything, become stronger overnight. But God does not rush transformation.

Before He changes our direction, He quiets our hearts.

Stillness is not inactivity.
It is trust without movement.

It is the moment when we stop trying to carry tomorrow and simply sit with Him today.

The world teaches us that growth comes through effort.
God often teaches growth through surrender.

In stillness, we begin to notice what has always been there — His presence, steady and unhurried, waiting for us to rest long enough to recognize Him.

Today, resist the need to hurry past this moment.

Just be still.

And know.

🌿Prayer

Lord,

Quiet the noise within me.
Teach my heart to rest in Your presence without striving or fear.
Help me trust that You are working even when I am still.
Draw me deeper into Your peace today.

Amen
