Lent Day 4 — Learning to Trust
Scripture
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6
Reflection
Stillness often reveals something unexpected.
When the noise fades and our hearts grow quiet before God, we begin to notice how tightly we have been holding everything together — our plans, our worries, our need to understand what comes next.
And God gently invites us to loosen our grip.
Trust is not certainty.
It is surrender.
We want clarity before obedience.
God often asks for trust before understanding.
Lent is not only a season of reflection; it is a season of release — releasing the illusion that we must figure everything out ourselves.
You may not see the full path ahead.
You may not understand why certain doors closed or why others remain unopened.
But faith grows when we choose to walk forward anyway.
Trust is built one small surrender at a time.
Today, God is not asking you to solve tomorrow.
He is only asking you to walk with Him today.
And that is enough.

🌿Prayer
Lord,
Teach me to trust You more deeply.
Help me release my need to understand everything and rest in Your guidance.
Lead my steps even when the path is unclear.
Amen
